I am having a heck of a time finding the front windscreen for a 1972 xj6. Can anyone help. I went to windshieldstogo.com and they quoted me a price of about $180. Today they called and said it would be over $600!!!! I realize that it's an older car and parts may be more expensive but there has to be someone with a more resonable price. Please help.

 

The price for a new screen sounds about right for a part which will be bought very seldom, so it just sits on a warehouse shelf for years and years and that costs money. Could be worth trying for a used one from a breaker, as it should be the same as all other XJs except the Series 3 which is totally different

 

David Boger at everydayxj sells used parts, and may have one. Try contacting him. From what I have seen, he has a good reputation.

 

Thanks for the help. I put in a request to everydayxj and hopefully he can help. I only spent a grand on the car and would hate to spend half of that again for a windscreen.
