I have removed my console from my 1974 jaguar xj6 to get it reupholstered but made the mistake of not taking a photo and before I took it out the door locking switch and the drivers window was working and I have wire under the console that have no where to plug to (also nothing works) if someone could send some photos and colour coded diagram that you can read but mostly need quite some photos with everything connected

PLEASE COULD SOMEONE HELP ME 👏

We have all been there. Looks simple enough when we take it apart but putting it back together it suddenly doesn't look familiar.

Download the S-57 wiring diagram book and keep it handy. It has all the wire colors and where they go. Also, get some white vinyl tape (looks and acts just like electrical tape except it's white). Keep it and a sharpie pen with your electrical tools so it will be quick and easy to lable things in the future.

You mentioned door locking switch. My cars are series 3s and they don't have that feature. Yours may have been added by a previous owner and therefore undocumented. That happens a lot.

The switch is an original and I don’t really think that it’s after market because the previous owner was an old man and nothing has ever been taken apart in the car all the factory markings were there he parked the car for the last time in 2006 and then died shortly after
