Number of fuses

Number of fuses
The cabin blower motors stopped working, and I assume it's the 50amp fuse I need to replace, even though it looks fine. A couple of questions:
1. Is there another fuse I should be looking to replace, too?
2. I am planning on just buying a bunch of fuses from rockauto, and was going to get 15 or so each of the 10, 15, 20, 35, and 50. Is this the right number for each? They're only 10-15 cents each, which is cheaper if I can by enough to justify shipping.
I'm tired of buying a couple of fuses at a time at the local store for quite a bit more money. Is this a good amount? (I seem to keep stumbling on random inline fuses whenever I poke around, so I'd like to start replacing them as I find them. I just replaced a 20amp one under the center console, but didn't notice any change in anything.)
thanks

Personally I think it's a good move to have such a selection of fuses. They usually want Ridiculous money for them at the local Parts House, so if you have that many, you could change every fuse in the car and it wouldn't hurt anything.
Fuses can *look* just fine but not work (ask me how I know), especially the in-line ones Jaguar likes to hide in so many out of the way places you have No idea even where to look.

The system has 4 fuses....although not all pertain to the blowers, specifically
Two are in the aux fuse panel, RH side of dashboard
One is on the ground wire to the climate control amplifier, behind the LH console 'cheek panel'
One is on the brown and brown/yellows wires at the RH side of the heater case, behind RH console cheek panel

Be aware that USA and British fuse rating systems are not the same

Doug:
1. Remove the "d" from the third work in your post and it
adequately describes the situation when applying the word to reality.
2. In my past travels, I've acquired a collection of fuses, both blade and tube. Each car has a few in it's assigned emergency box. So far, so good. Not needed. there is an axiom for that.
3. Same for light bulbs, collected over the years.
4. A test lamp seems better than the VOM's continuity function for fuse testing.
5. Is my memory inaccurate in that S57 contains allocation page for fuse locations. Some are in "odd' places.
6. My lump has an auxiliary fuse block. Blade fuses there. And a couple in separate holders. Were I "tinkering", I'd solder in blade holders for fuses in those hidden spots. Tinkering on hold, til I wrest control of my "pastures".

As Carl mentioned, the S57 wiring diagram downloadable from this forum is the best bit of electrical self help you will get for the S3. Even if you are not that electrically oriented it is broken down into functions so you dony get overwhelmed when you just want to work on lights or blower motors and is very clear and complete. It includes things like fuse locations, earth locations, harness splice locations. Very handy.
