Once in a while you come across something and you cannot believe your luck. I am restoring an 84 XJ6 and the front fenders are pretty good, although they need some rust repair. So, while scouring the internet for potential replacement fenders (which are hard to find I have learned)...what did I find in my neighbourhood? 2 unused, brand new, NOS Jaguar XJ6 fenders, bought 25 years ago, that still have the Jaguar part decals on them! I snapped them up immediately, as I figure it would cost almost the same to repair mine.

Congratulations. can you be more specific as to how you found them in the neighborhood?

I notice they don't have the bolt holes or the opening for the side marker.

I found them on a site called kijiji. Its a buy and sell internet site operated here in Canada, and perhaps in other countries. They likely have no marker light holes as the fenders will fit series 1 thru 3, and they were probably purchased to restore a series 1. I will drill the holes for the marker lights using the old fenders as a template.

Just a thought.
You could delete the side marker lights and use some LED lights, fixed onto the corners of the bumpers with super magnets.
This will make it pass inspection and can be removed easily.
