Default paint match help

good morning folks. i havent posted since my starting issues dating back to november. everything is all cleared up. we swapped out the ignition, relay and starter along with each of the wires to and from. no more problems. turns out we think my problem all along was a bad starter. once that come out, car has been starting fine since. at first we thought relay. then some wires. then neutral safety switch. it was the starter all along. the no clicking noise tipped us off on that. probably should have started there, but all in all a very inexpensive fix. just a few hundy.

im going to start attacking some rust on my body. I asked in the past for help trying to figure out what color my car is: steel metallic or cobalt blue metallic. the sticker on the hood is gone. i looked on the door jams and nothing.

if you have a keen eye and time, can you look at my car and tell me which color (if i am even correct in the two i think) you think it is??

Doghead, can you attach a high resolution picture of your car. I have a 86 sovereign in metallic steel (paint code LEC). On UK spec cars the chassis number / paint code is on the passenger side inner wing near the battery.

I've just looked at your album pictures and it looks very close to metallic steel. From memory cobalt blue was darker than metallic steel.
