Pricing assistance
My dad has two jags he wants to sell but we're struggling to determine their value. KBB doesn't go back far enough and the ones for sale out there seem to vary greatly. Any help would be appreciated.
1. 1986 XJ6 series 3 - very good condition. 80k miles. Red. Runs well. clean.
2. 1988 XJS V12. Black convertible with tan top. Some tears. 100k miles. Leaking power steering fluid due to rack and pinion seal torn. Runs well.
Any input you have would be greatly appreciated.

How much rust? This is important
Any recent significant repairs?
Climate control working?
Folder full of service records?
All these things and more can make a difference.

Sounds average-ish so I'd say $2500-$3500

$3500-$5000 ??
Really hard to say without pictures and more details
Cheers

IMHO, the range is infinite. Just a matter of what a willing buyer will pay at the given time.
Doug's numbers seem as close as any one could guess.
Do a search, Ebay, Auto Trader, even Craigs list.
At one time there was a "Gold Book", similar to Kelley's faed blue, but for older cars.
All merely a guide.
Caveat, Advertised price ain't sale price.
Naah, enough to do around here, including my starterless Jaguar.
