Default Recover seats

Hi guys. Just bought an 81 xj6 series iii. Bought yesterday and drove 1200 km today without a hitch. Rather than an upholster making new leather seat upholstery, can I buy them pre made from jag or aftermarket that I fit onto the repaired foam. I'm in QLD Australia. Can one of you Aussies point me to the best new parts supplier for jag (might be that you recommend an overseas supplier)and largest jag wrecker in Aus

Sorry, didn't see the "S" in front of the leather. Just recalled seeing the add a few weeks back and had a quick search to pass on link to you.

If you were considering looking overseas there is a trimmer in the UK (with a branch here in Vancouver) called BAS Jaguar trim that specializes in Jaguar interiors. I bought my carpet kit from them and it was perfect.
Soon I will be getting a set of door panels from them.
Try them out.

Hi Hooter,
Just looked up AJG trading hours, showing "now closed". I got a starter motor off him a few weeks ago. I have been dealing with Alan for the last few years for parts for my Cherokee, a shame to see he's gone. Has been handy for me.

Ben, there's an ebay seller (blackcountryjaguar) who bought the entire job lot from jaguar of all the remaining XJ6 series 3 / XJ40 seats / door panels.

blackcountryjaguar | eBay

These are the original seat cushions / squabs etc made in the trim shop at Browns Lane.

Regards

Cherokee, eh? I have a 94. Still tight, shiny and strong at about 220,000. Daughter has it now for a tad. Her 2001 VW Passat at about half the miles quit on her. Fixable ignition issue, I hope. I've no idea as to how that V6 is fired!!!

Neat little AWD wagon, though. The electronic dash is scary. One of her friends refers to it a a space ship.

I wish she had chosen a simpler car.

A lister on another forum had his SII seats done in cloth by a local. different, but attractive. Good for extremely cold or extremely hot days. l

I bought a set of yellow high beam lenses from black country. Super quick shipping from the UK to Canada and they were perfeck. I'd recommend him with no hesitation. Ton 'o' goodies there...

On the issue of Blackcountry Jaguar --- I have had such poor response from them that i consider them next to useless.

10 x emails Direct
20 plus emails via ebay
5 x Phone calls ---- yes we will get back to you!!

Nothing. I don't know if Tasmania is black listed because of our convict connections. Been trying for 3 years !!!!! on and off.

All I want is a set of seat cushion trim in CEM (mulberry) for sports pack seats in a 1989 XJS. I am picky and want original if its available.
They have advertised them in the past.
If they told me " no we don't have any" that would be fine.

I guess I will look elsewhere,

Great British customer service at work again.

Cheers
Mike
