Default S3 EGR Ex Manifold Take-off?

I'm pulling the manifolds off an S3 Engine, but the EGR Pipe on the Ex Manifold will not budge. Are there any top tips for taking these off?

I appreciate that the cycling heat may have just made it tight, but I don't want to bring out the big guns if there is a proven technique.

Consider yourself lucky, my one sheared off without even the slightest amount of effort, had to drill and tap it out, followed by plugging it with a cap end.

Will you be deleting it completely? I just made a nice blanking plate to replace the setup on the rear of the inlet manifold, less engine bay clutter, cleaner setup and idle, pretty sure my EGR valve was seized/rusted partially open though.

nb: If you delete the air injection setup, the head port threads are 1/8th bpt ($5 on ebay)

Hi Stoney. Could I ask for a picture of that blanking plate? I'd like to delete EGR as well as air injector.
