I have a jag down load manual but cant find instructions for removing the center consul that holds the trip comp etc any help greatly appreciated

 

that is the Center Vertical Panel:

first remove the a/c control knobs by pulling them,
there is a special Notched Nut behind each control knob, buy the tool on eBay.
once those special nuts are off, pull the radio knobs and its faceplate

carefully pull the panel away, there are fiber optic cables behind it.

there are two posi-drive screws at the bottom of the panel above the radio which you can see when you pull the a/c controls panel. you can use a phillips screwdriver.

remove those two screws, the panel is now released, now pull it down to disengage from two brackets at the top.
