Default Series 1 idle auto transmision

Hi, I observed that at idle, i have 850 revs.
When I shift to D or R the idle drops to about 670-700
Engine is at normal temperature. Is it normal to have this drop?

Also, the engine shakes a litle blit It feels like from time to time there is no fire.
I have the car only for a few days, I havent managed to do any maintenance
Thanks

Could be many different things.

Since you sense it might be losing spark it couldn't hurt to replace the park plugs and wires just on general principles, and check the distributor cap and rotor. And check for any weak connections at the coil

Cheers
