Default series 111 V12 fuel pump

Hi all, I have been offered a new fuel pump and told it is a oem for 4.2 and 5.3 , 1979 to 1994, my 81 V12 sovereign has a noisy pump with spade terminals (wire ends look original).my question is , is that correct are they the same as I thought to buy 2 and replace the pump also on my 1986 V12 series 111 Vanden Plas.

I'm not sure about the application going all the way to 1994 but, yes, all Series III fuel injected models use the same pump

Cheers

Agreed,

The XJS had the same external pump 1976 until the intank system arrived.

In the Series3 cars, the 6 cyl, and V12 pump are the same, and also used on Merc, BMW, Aussie Holden and Ford, so nothing special at all.

The LT1 engine in my car runs fine on the original pump that the Jaguar came with. it is an 83 XJ !!

Caveat: It is laid up now. Quit suddenly. Luckily (?) in my drive. Son will come by later and we will seek to diagnose. Spark or fuel? Best (?) if still in fault mode.
OTH, it may have "fixed" itself and fire right up. ???f
