Default Series 2 - Intermittent Wipers

Has anyone modified their slow wipe position to allow intermittent/variable use? Is there a kit available or installed from scratch using various components.

Also the wiper stalk has Off, Wipe and Fast wipe positions but below Off it has a Park position - given that the wipers park when the off position is selected, what is the Park position on the stalk for?

Thanks

Garry

The idea of the Park function is to bring the wipers down to a lower resting position. I think it also triggers a final sweep of the glass. Works sometimes...

I, too, would like to hear of the addition of an intermittent function. Aftermarket modules are available to wire in, but I haven't tried putting one in on a Jaguar.

Thanks for that - my wipers go to the correct park position when the switch goes to the off position. In itself the park position on the switch does not seem to do anything.

I had a look in the handbook where it is in the diagrams but not in the narrative. The logic seems to be that when the wipers are going if you move the wiper lever is moved to the park position through the off position the wipers park - but the same happens if you just move to off.

Having just driven 400km in light rain I was continually using the single wipe function which is a pain - having an intermittent and preferably variable intermittent wipe function would be great. If none are available I guess I can look at making something up.

Maybe something like this https://kitstop.com.au/product/mxa04...d-wiper-timer/

Cheers

Garry
