Series III Aux air valve hose replacement

Series III Aux air valve hose replacement
I am replacing all rubber vacuum lines in my 87 XJ6 in an effort to eliminate any vacuum leaks. A difficult hose to get to is the rear hose of the aux air valve.
Is there a trick to getting to the rear hose? The one that is hidden behind the intake manifold
btw -- Is there any recommended cleaning for this valve while I am at it?
Thanks

Worth a try!
I've always replaced 'em from below but if there's a will there's a way :-)

Worth checking into, at least, before you destroy the old hose taking it off....as it'll probably be petrified.

Already removed the air cleaner all the way to the elbow so I could get access to replace the vacuum lines on that side.
Still looks like the only access to the backside hose on the AAV is from the bottom. It would be nice if I could see the hose clamp on the top side of this hose but...life should be so easy.
Fortunately I pre-ordered the hoses so I have them handy and yes, it is as hard as a steel pipe and ready for replacement.
I did notice an interesting capped off vacuum nipple on the very bottom of black intake plenum. I'm wondering if this is intended as a drain to use when cleaning out the plenum?

It was looking pretty difficult if not impossible to replace the AAV rear hose from underneath the car. But, it turned out to be very easy to remove the two allen screws that attach it to the main water jacket, pop it out to easily access the clamp for the rear hose, replace the hose, tighten the clamp and then pop it back in again.
I guess I thought coolant was going to leak out the water jacket when I removed the AAV but no such problem. This turned out to be one of the easier hoses to replace! Just thought I would pass this tip on.
