When I stuck it in the Trading Post for sale the phone started ringing at 5am, was sold by 7.30.
To me it was the work car that needed paint and carpet. Sold it because we had a young family and couldn't afford to keep two cars and a bike serviced and registered.
Not surprised it went fast, even back then. We had a similar situation but I sold down and bought an old HQ which were common junkers at the time. Yet another car I wish I had today with the club reg system.

Yep, the list knows no bounds. Several 60's and 70's Holdens would be on mine, especially the Premiers - EH, HR X2, HZ. My favourite steering wheel on those? EH as in pic!

That's a nice looking wheel Jim. Do you happen to know which supplier?

Tony that particular one was Andys Auto Sport, however googling Nardi Classic 330mm gives numerous options......I will be buying this one somewhere.
Part no. 5061 33 3000

Is that 400 AU dollars? that is within my self justification point for a steering wheel.

If its $400 US plus freight plus conversion to the Pacific Peso, not so much.

This thread has thrown up a lot lot of nice options depending on your tastes, with an added benefit of a discourse on 1970's holden steering wheels :-) Thanks to all the posters.

Good used Nardi wheels come up on Ebay all the time ranging from $100 - $150 or so. The problem can be finding the correct mounting hub to install 'em on Jaguars.

Some higher-end sports cars had Nardi wheels as original equipment. The true OEM Nardi wheels can run thousands!

Cheers

Unfortunately it is US plus shipping, however it's a starting point and I note their are Aussie suppliers.....sooooo it's negotiation time or as Doug says wait for a used one to come up......This thread has highlighted what I want for mine, so thanks Steve.

Ask them what is you come with a group buy, that may change the picture. Of course I also may be dreaming given the premium nature of the product. Have to keep an eye out on Ebay , I guess they would go quickly.

Steve, Tas Autosport Tasmania have a 360mm for sale at $549. delivered...I'll keep looking as there's a few around. They guarantee originality from Italy and number can be confirmed on Nardi website.

Mine is a Nardi. Looks and feels great. it's a little old and starting to show a little pitting on the ring by the horn button.

A little patina in a classic car - I'd be happy with that!

Nardi here, wouldn't have anything else!

Snapped these from the passenger seat of my '70 on 7,000 mile road trip a few months ago

That is a very nice looking wheel. Looks like an original equipment option.

Heres one of the Ebay pics just to have it captured in the thread.

What is the correct fitment steering wheel boss for a series 1 XJ6? A lot of places only show fitment for 1974 onward (S2-3)?

I assuming there is a difference between Series 1 and Series 2-3?

Default Grant Signature wheel...

Grant Signature wheel.. the horn button is available with "other" emblems...

I took off a nice looking Le Carrera wheel - the one with rivets due to the horrible heat on the hands after the car sits outside.

This is the only photo I have of the wheel! Will have to update my photos but it shows the GPS speedo just installed.
