Default Small victory, extyent to be determined.

My car has developed a rattle or noise up front, it seems. but, with challenged ears and the propensity f noises to travel, I am not sure.

Lo, it seems that the shock tower on one side is loose!!! The hold the shaft still while either tightening the nut or removing it up again for a solution.

A bit battered, so a small "spanner" not effective. Same with a Vice Grip!!

Oh, my special socket with the steel fingers ala Chinese straw finger puzzle.

Yup, It and my 9/16" racheting box and nut freed. Yup, rubber bushing not
secure and separating the shaft from the tin!!!

Found a replacement on my shop wall. Perfect fit with the proper sized shoulder.

Same tools easily replaced stuff. No more wiggle.

Checked the other side. It is fine. Good access on the driver side not that easy...

Next drive will tell???

Well done, hopefully thats it.

I had a front end noise recently , was totally convinced it was front left. Ended up being the trans mounting. So much for my ears.

No test yet. Jeep used to do errands today. So different than the
Jaguar, but, pleasurable in it's own way.

Mine will not be the center universal and mount. It is gone. One piece
draft shaft does the same task with less complexity...

But, if not quiet, my next suspect/s are the tin pans along the drive shaft. Purpose unclear to me!!

Or, the rear resonator hangers...
