Default speedometer

Alright, I'm cruising down the road and my speedo stops working. Of coarse the display stops registering but still working. so I thought I'd ask if anyone had any ideas before I start messing around with the electrical or speedo cable. Maybe someone here can help me narrow it down first.
Thanks

Not quite sure what you mean here

No cable involved.

9 times out of 10 the fault is in the speedometer transducer. This is the signal generator thingy on the RH side of the transmission that sends a signal to the speedo and the trip computer. About $100 or so for a new one.

Mighta wanna take a good look at the wiring at the back of the speedo and at the transducer just on gen'l principles. Lacking any obvious wiring fault I'd go ahead and replace the transducer

Cheers

I was afraid of that. I'll check wiring just to be sure anyway. Thanks again! I'm glad I have the speedo app on my phone for now.

I'll fix it one day.

Electrics to alter in the engine bay and in the console area. cut, solder, shrink tube, etc.
