Default speedometer - kmph to mph conversion

My Canadian 1988 Series3 XJ12 imported to the US is marked
in kmph only.
The odometer is also in km.

Instead of replacing the whole speedo and loosing the true
mileage, any options regarding a dial face that's marked in
both kmph and mph? What do the US XJ6's dials look like?

Else , I may have to resort to gettting a sticker/decal
made, its getting hard to do mental math quick when you see
a cop

The look/font/style is the same but they read to 140 mph instead of 160 mph. Since they're calibrated differently I don't think a 'face swap' would work out, if that's what you were thinking.

For a price I'm sure an instrument restoration outfit can fix you up with a new face in mph, or convert your existing speedo face to mph markings

Cheers

I don't have an answer for you, I'm just surprised to see that the existing speedo is not marked in both km/hr and mph. I thought it was Transport Canada mandated that it have both from 1976 onwards with km/hr in bigger font.
