Hi all,

I have a series 3 XJ12 which I have had almost 2 months now. So far I have had to get the master cylinder seals replaced as I had brake failure, and get a new lower steering column as the bottom UJ had ceased. Then last week the car conked out just as i got home and wouldn't start. After scouring this forum I found enough info from various old post for me to bet on it being a fuel pump/filter problem. So with a new pump and filter fitted it starts again (well it did 10 minutes ago) and I am back in action.

So just a general thanks to all the contributors to this forum as it saved me a lot of time and head scratching.
