Steering rack bent tie rod
Ran into a curb on oil slick road at about 20 mph . Right front. Replaced wheel. Took to get alignment. Shop said inner tie rod bent and rack leaking . $ 680. To fix and align. Leak doesn't seem bad ,yet. How can I tell if it's bent . Can I replace or where do I get rebuilt rack . I didn't ask if they were doing the entire rack or just fixing one side . Can they fix one side? Seems like I should do whole thing if any . 1986 xj6. 45,000 mile car Thanks guys

alignment
had alignment done on xj6 the shop said camber was close enough ,adjusted toe-in and said caster was off. their measurement was +1.25 on driver -.05 pass. we dont have Jag shims he says .. I drive home drifts right .. look in book and it says +2.5 + / - 1/4 the shops book said 3.5....moving shims from top of ball joint one of the easier things ive done on my jag . obviously they just didnt want to mess with it . Heres question, I miked a shim and it was .065 I moved one from left side to right . more leaning back . Was explained like the front fork of a motorcycle but not as severe. and it improved. how many degrees does one .065 shim move it???? also the Haynes manual ( yea I know everybody laughs at it) says there should b 4 or more shims ..I have 3 I feel like both sides need another shim to get closer to 2.5
