T-handle shift knob (2 piece)
I'm curious , I see the shift knobs on the early cars as always black - I also see them on websites in various wood tones. Are the originals wood or plastic ? I guess I'm leading up to whether the black ones can be sanded and stained. Your thoughts ?
Thanks, Jim
Thanks, Jim
I am sure they could be painted or dipped in colored plastic paint. I just replaced mine with the wood ones that complimented the new dash.
This picture shows them right before the install and just after the new Grant steering (before) without the center piece installed. Being black
makes them not "stand out" from the rest of the interior colors. Car has the PT Cruiser front seats with the right/left hand arm rests.
