Tachometer trigger wire clarification needed
1976 XJ6, converting over to contemporary ignition, which only needs 12v power and ground.....
As l recall, the tach trigger wire is white with a blue stripe?
And maybe needs to be connected to the negative side of the coil, through the elegantly finned resistor?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions 😊

The wire might be white/slate/blue.
I not really familiar with Series II specifics. However, I'm fairly certain that the tach will work with a simple trigger wire to the coil "-" post. The finned resister sounds like something from the old OPUS ignition system; I don't think it actually has any bearing on tachometer operation.
Let's hear what others have to say
