Tip to ease the idle adjustment process
I fashioned this 7/32 Allen wrench idle adjustment tool by bending it in the bench vise. I then removed the accordion hose between the air flow meter and the throttle body to allow placement of the Allen wrench. I made about a quarter turn counter clockwise to raise the idle rpm with the engine being cold. I reassembled everything and drove the car for a day and repeated this cycle until I was happy with the idle. Hope this helps a newbie that wants to wrench on their xj6.
