Hello Everybody
does any one know if the under bonnet sound insulation is available for a 1985 series 3 , or at least a part number for it.
Cheers

WhiteXKR ? I think?
Has them for the X308's. Thinking that shouldn't be too different.I brought one and it doesn't appear to be "preformed". I have not used it,or taken it out of the box.
If you search here for "hoodliners" (appears to what the Americans call them) . The 3M 80 adhesive was a little harder to find but I if you go along these lines I know where to get it now. What I liked is he does them with a Leaper Logo if you want it.

Adrian,
I can only find part Numbers for the two piece Series III XJ12 OE Bonnet Insulation Pad but it should be the same for all variants of the Series III:
BEC22723 - Front
BEC22724 - Rear
These are unlikely to be available from Jaguar but for an aftermarket (and better) solution, forum member Gonzo is the man for bonnet insulation pads a.k.a. hood liners:

Adrian,It is "the jag wrangler" He has a web site if you would like to google him.Have a feeling he was a bit crook for awhile.
I will have to learn how to post "links" ! But I;m sure he could answer your question. Was not that expensive either. $120/30ish from memory.
