Well crap...my 76 is now an official project car
This morning, I went out to work some more on the wiring problem, and this is what I found beneath my car:
So, apparently, almost all of my oil has drained out of my engine, which wasn't running properly anyway. So, it looks like this is now a project car, officially, and I'll have to figure out a way to get a new daily driver until I get her back on the road.
I'll be getting a decent sum of money from an inheritance in the coming months (hopefully sooner than later), so I'll be able to get right to work on her.
I guess when it rains it pours, but it's all for the better (or not?).
P.S. Her name will DEFINITELY remain Christine...lol. Cantankerous little fart that she is.

Not yet, Army. I have to lift the car up (there's all of about 5 inches of clearance under it) to see. I can see something that has oil all over it near the front suspension, but that's the extent of it. I tried sticking my camera under it and taking a shot, but that didn't work out too well. Once I get it lifted, I'll take some photos and post em.

What the heck did you hit, or was that before your time? Hope it is nothing more serious than a leaky gasket or some such.
How much oil has dropped from your dip stick reading, a little hot oil can spread a long way on what looks to be smooth concrete.
BTW have you still got dead leaves blowing around or are these old. because they seem to have landed on top of the slick, are you sure it is your's?
Hope that she is just suffering from a little indigestion due to all the poking around.
Cheers,
Rich

I haven't checked my dipstick since it's been sitting. The oil just got there a couple or three days ago...it wasn't there earlier this week. The leaves are on top of the oil because we get high winds during the night and I'm too lazy to rake my yard...lol. I have a carport instead of an enclosed garage.
