Default What Front Pads to use?

I’m upgrading a 1977 XJC to 4 pot calipers.
What’s your experience or recommendations for a good street performance pad?
Thanks.

I am using these on my S3 and they feel very good.

Bosch BP135 Semi-Metallic Front Pad Set (from Amazon)

Not on my XJ6 but my 2007 Vanden Plas had the original pads that made a ton of brake dust that was always coating the wheels. I installed Ceramic pads. I had read where they were hard until warmed up, required more pedal pressure, etc. I’ve been driving with them for a year now and I feel absolutely no change in performance from the stock. And zero brake dust. I highly recommend ceramic especially if brake dust is a concern.

I second the ceramics, I have wire wheels and went with them for the lack of brake dust, but I also installed drilled and slotted rotors, mine does require a bit more pedal effort, but they will stop this beast in a hurry!!! Mind you, I did all 4 that way!!
