Just what the subject line says. I've lost two center wheel emblems over the past few months, I have the replacement emblems, but I don't want to use the wrong glue. It looks like whatever was on before was some kind of clear, rubbery glue.

Try a thin film of clear silicone, it worked for me.

I've not needed to replace the emblems on either my original Kents or the newer XJS sourced lattice wheels.

I've used an emblem glue via Eastwood, I think on other badges. so far so good.

And, I've gained a lot of respect for Gorilla Glue. It has passed to tough assignments quite well.

And a 'glue" for affixing mirrors to the pedestals on my daughter's Passat and my Jeep. I think it is a clear silicone.

I was losing the emblems in my XJ40 Teardrop wheel hubcaps until I used Hot glue, which is reversible if you don't like it. Gorilla glue is toxic to some plastics, it will damage them by crazing the plastic. Krazy Glue is just as bad.

I always used the silicone gasket-in-a-tube because we always had it on hand in the workshops.
