wiper park and electr. diagr. interpret
Hello,
Concerns a Series III Daimler V12 1979. The wipers do not come back to their rest position. I checked the (included) diagram (sorry for discalation in 2 picture halfs) (objects 36 switch/37 motor/329=timer). In my opinion in the OFF pos of the switch there should be a connection made in the switch (obj 36) between Pin 1 & 7 in order to put +12V on pin 1 of the motor. This is not the case. Either the switch is not OK or somebody has put a switch from another model (the car is new to me). In my wiper switch in the OFF pos the only connected pins (to each other) are 5 & 6.
In the case the switch is broken. Has somebody opened such a switch and how (I guess a lot of springs can fall out of it?). I also checked the park switch in the motor (between pins 2-1 and 2-4): this is functioning as it should.

thanks for info; looks like a nice rebuild. Before I open the switch I would like to know if the switch on this car is the original one: If it isn't the opening will not help.
It has the number Lucas 176 SA on it.
Ohm on this switch: In OFF position it should form a 'close" between 1 & 7 and 5 & 6; but both are open contacts; Strange that both 'closes' are gone at the same time. Anyone has info on the number?
