Xj: The original 'experimental jaguar'
The 1969 prototype for the XJC, which took another 4 years to get production approval, resides Down Unda! Last seen in WA. Current estimated value? What are you prepared to pay? Somewhere north of $100K USD, I'd say.

Great find Clarke . . . and thanks for sharing. I love the pic of the original launch. Sir William Lyons was a tall well built gent, but in this pic, he is easily topped by the lofty Charles de Gaulle, beside him. I know this was the Paris Show, but can't recall if he was still Le Presidente of La Belle France at that time.
Daughter Megan is inspecting one of the last (1994) XJ40s to match our SeriesIII XJ6, but I still find my preferences lining up for the SeriesII Daimler we once had and the beautiful SeriesI (both having those slim chromed bumpers). Strange that I've just found a 1971 XJ6 that looks a treat . . .
Ah; so many Jaguars . . . so little money!
Cheers,

Ken
