XJ6 rear axle question
I pulled a 1973 rear axle assembly from the local junkyard for a non-jag project vehicle. I was curious as to if anyone offers a cv type replacement for the u-joint style half shafts? Thank you in advance
I have been involved with Jaguars for well over 30 years, and I don't think I have ever seen any adverts or descriptions of CV-based conversions. I suspect this would not really be possible as the existing UJ-based halfshafts act as the upper suspension link, so CVs would not be able to take the loads, but I may be wrong.
Why would you want to?

Has the heavy duty joints & can handle more power than you can throw at them.
They also have H.D. axles & anything else you can possibly think of....and more.

I am building a truck with air bag suspension. What im looking for is to get the most usable suspension travel without binding the axles. Do the stock axles allow for much suspension travel? Im looking to get approximately 8" total. The assembly will be mounted so that I will hopefully get at least 4" in each direction
The link I posted also offer the airbag conversion for the stock suspension.
