Default XJ6 S3 84 oil pressure sender access

All
I have lost oil pressure since car wash (used by off road vehicles after a day on the beach). Drive thru Wash, has powerful under body spray to wash off sand. Noticed oil pressure at less than 0, sometime after leaving wash facility. Car runs fine and all other indications normal. 100 % sure it is indication only.
Tried to access top of sender (to see if electric lead has been blown off), by removing some of the intake before and after the AFM, but could not reach the sender.
My assumption is I will have to Jack front, remove RH front wheel and the oil filter to access the top of the sender.
Any comments as to best approach would be appreciated. @ 79 I don't do well under the car any more.
Thanks in advance
Rgds

Have you checked the engine oil with the dipstick ?

If oil level is ok, then not a lot to worry about except to raise the front of the car which is very heavy and you need to make sure the front of car is well supported when you raise it, the tires locked (transmission in PARK),
and emergency brake fully engaged.
Do not get under the car with just the factory Jack. You'll need to add additional Jacks and additionaly use a hydraulic jack centered at the front suspension member for safety.
Safety First.
Only then should you work under the engine.

Better yet, take the car to a shop with a new Oil Sender and let someone replace it.

Yes have checked dip stick and drip pans for any change in oil levels and no fresh oil on drip pan.
Thanks for confirming the under car precautions, will probably do early oil and filter change and provide shop with my spare sender, if it is not a loose electric lead.
Thanks

Default This happened to me

I noticed a lack oil pressure signal. I was able to reattach the lead to the sender unit (which is behind and a little behind the oil filter housing.) Did it by touch. Parked the car so it was straddling a curb.

All good now with second installed sender. First URO part read full scale with engine not running, but ignition on??? Second one is spot on. Recommend you buy these parts from supplier with good reputation on returns.

Jacked up front end and blocked with wood, to around 2" under right front tire... Home made, Special Purpose 18mm (thin) shortened wrench needed to get leverage. Put a little sealant on copper washer to prevent it falling off sender as you are installing it upside down by feel.

Not too much strain on 80 year old joints. Second time, I did not remove the filter.

7/8s by 3/4th box wrench with 18" tommy bar did the trick.
