xj6 series 2 1976
Was getting no heat from heater unit. Local garage replaced heater control valve then informed me that the temperature control switch was now operating in reverse? i.e. cold was hot and hot was cold. I believe there was a different valve fitted to series 2 cars, is this true and has he fitted the wrong valve? Thank you for any help.
Assuming this is a full climate-control/AC car....and not a heater-only car.
I've not heard of Series II cars using a different heater valve than the Series III cars....which share the same Delanair MkII climate control
What might be confusing to some is that the valve is open with no vacuum applied. Applying vacuum closes the valve. This is a bit unusual...but not unheard of.
