My series two was using water, I thought it was a failed her gasket, the cooling water tested positive for exhaust cases! I removed the head and discovered that there were three cracks between adjacent cylinder bores. There is a repair that entails removing the bore liners, machining a larger diameter ring into the top and replacing the standard liner with a "top hat" liner! I decided to find a so called slotted block from the series three, but use my carbs rather than the fuel injection system.

Series 1 donor car rear door skin patch panel in rough position. I was careful to keep the top rolled over edge intact. Will probably glue as well as weld to allow for flex
