XJC Side window and door seals
Hi everyone, a new member registering and looking for some advice.
I own a Jag XJ6C 4.2 litre 2 door coupe.
The door and window seals were shot and I have removed and installed new ones.
Unfortunately the "before removal" photos I took have been deleted and now I have a problem determining how the inner and outer waist weatherseals meet and tie into the upper seal on the rear side window. If the upper seal is not trimmed to the vertical position then the window will not raise, but this means the seal does not look very positive.
Also the upper and lower seal joint on the front door appears to be positioned at different positions on different cars! Some show the upper seal cut at the door waist level, with part thene turned along the underside of the gutter at the rear of the front wing. others show the seal terminating at the top of the chrome triangular guide.
Any close up photos to help would be most appreciated they are very prone to leaks.

Welcome to the forum!
Glad to see another coupe being restored.
You may try calling Paul's Jaguars, in Florida.
Do you have the factory parts manual?
I can't help you, now, since my coupe is in storage, elsewhere.

I'm sorry I missed this thread when it was first posted. The XJC was the one I always wanted but had to settle for the four door when it was the current model and never did get the coupe. Still looks a beautiful car.
If door and window seals are unobtainable from the usual Jaguar sources, this company supplies many of the rubber and foam extrusions originally used in several Jaguar models:

Good morning all Ryan, Dave, Graham, sorry for delay in replying.
I purchase all my seals from David Manners Ltd. here in the UK see
Jaguar, Daimler, MG, Mini, Triumph, MX5, Morris Minor, Car Parts from David Manners Group of Companies in the UK
Equally SNG Barratt or Martin Robey
SNG Barratt are also in US.
Most seals are available from the above, but some are not made any more, particularly the vertical "spear" rubber seal which fits on the front window chrome triangle, so keep all the old seals
My only advice in replacing seals is "Patience (lots of), lots of photos BEFORE removing and mark start and finish of door and window seals to get the right length.
Good luck, I am still struggling with alignment of rear quarter window.
