Hard to tell from here.

The colour is only a dye.

I use Nulon Long Life Green in ALL the Jags except the 2 S Types, which have the Nulon Long Life Red.

The colour should not be mixed, due to a horrible brownish colour resulting. the properties of both are the same.

If the specs of the coolant in there is unknown, I strongly suggest a drain and flush, and refill with a brand/spec that is easy to locate in your locale.

Someone in your area will drop by soon and give some coolant names and specs readily available.

Anything that does not have OAT in should be fine. OAT coolants are generally red or orange. Typically green / blue standard coolants are OK but as grant says the colour is not by any means a reliable method. Besides if you are going to be running an 88' you will want to change it annually You will soon be a master.

Old fashion Plain Jane Green coolant changed every Fall(once a year). I do a radiator drain and fill and my 90 XJS seems to run consistently pretty cool(below the N on the gauge)... Just to be safe, I also add one bottle of Redline Water Wetter... Not really sure if it helps but its supposed to help to lubricate/clean the WP and also help with corrosion. I am not a fan of the long life coolants, mainly because I like to do the drain and fill every year. Its good to get some new clean coolant into the system every and Jaguar does recommend that you do this..
