1988 XJS V12 Oil Leak

I have a 1988 XJS V12 which is very sharp! Unfortunately, it is leaking a few drops of oilwhen parked from the front of the engine (Main seal?). As I am new to this (first one) and not mechanical I have a few questions. Is this common and should I be concerned? Does replacing the seal usually solve the problem? Other thoughts? What would you estimate the repair cost at a reputable shop (not dealer)?

I don't think I have ever seen a V12 XJS that doesn't leak oil. Unless it is pouring out I would leave it alone personally. It is almost impossible to get them to not leak anywhere. You fix one, it will start leaking somewhere else. Path of least resistance.
