1989 xjs rouge transmision problems
I recently acquired this car with no transmission and exhaust I installed a transmission but my shifting is very hard and very late and RPM range there's also a lose-lose vacuum cable at the bottom of the transmission and I am wondering if I plug it into the vacuum module where does the other end go

A vac hose should go from the modulator (on the RHS towards the front, just above the pan/tranny join) to the RHS inlet manifold, and goes on to one of the tiny spigots on the cabin end of the manifold. Is this the one you mean?

Hi Paulie
I think I can see it from here!
In your Second Photo, at the rear of 'A' Bank (The Side with the ABS Pump on) You can see a Red Wire, follow that Red Wire up to the End of the Inlet Manifold (just for the purpose of X marks the Spot)
On the End of the Inlet Manifold you should see the Spigot that the Tube goes on, or maybe there is a 'Y' Piece with a Spare Spigot.
Probably best to replace the Tube if its not in good condition.
So from the Gearbox Modulator to the Spigot on the end of the Inlet Manifold.
Greg and Grant are the Experts on these, so hopefully they will jump in and with any luck Greg may have a Photo.
