I'm going to be reupholstering the front seats in my 1993 Jaguar XJS 2+2 convertible, but removing the seats is turning out to be a bear. I've removed the torx bolts holding down the seats, but there is wiring connected to the seat memory control unit and I can't seem to get the plug out.
If anyone has any suggestions on how to disconnect the plug, I'd greatly appreciate it. Here's a pic of a replacement part I'm trying to unplug from.
I had my seat out last year and it should be very easy to remove the ecu plugs. I THINK they just have a tang that you press down (or push up)and then you just pull off the plugs. From memory, I think there's also a single earth wire to remove.
I think there's a tang at the top and the bottom, which you can see in the photo. I'm just having a terrible time getting to the bottom one, or perhaps I'm pressing down when I should be pushing up. I'll try again. Thanks for the inputs!
