Unhappy 1994 XJS 6.0 Convertible, need gas tank or fix for one I have

Hi all, new to the forums, but have been a long time reader.

I grew up in the UK around Jaguars and other British cars (Rover, Austin, MG, Triumph, Vauxhall) my mum's side of the family have always been owned auto body shops or garages. I've always been interested in cars, but can barely change oil.

I own a 1994 Jaguar XJS Convertible 6.0L with about 60k miles on it. I've committed a royal sin by allowing it to sit too long and now I have a rusted fuel tank. The car is at JMC Import Auto Repair in Tempe, Arizona with Joe. Currently either looking for a spare gas tank and in the meantime pouring money into solutions that may help salvage the old one. Ultimately I'd love to get this car running again, that's what drove me to register today.

Nice to meet you all!

Talk to either Motorcars Ltd in Houston or Coventry West in Atlanta, they have a large salvage operation and should be able to get you a good tank.

Thank you for the leads!

I followed up on all the eBay listings, but they were for the 4.0 inline 6 engine. I'll give the two auto yards a call as well.

I know your post goes back a few years. I'm in the same predicament now. How did you end up fixing your fuel tank issue? Any advice?
