Check engine light went on, and then Code FF38 came up briefly, before Code FF44 came upand stayed..

I know FF44 is right side O2 sensor, but am unable to find any info on FF38.

Anyone have a clue?

Are you absolutely sure it showed FF38 and not FF36 (B bank injector fault)?

Almost 100% sure.

It was there for just a couple of seconds..

Left "B" side has not given me any trouble.

Also unlikely to get FF44 for the right side, AND get another code for the left.

 

My 95 V12 will sometimes show a "fake" code before it shows the real code upon initial turn of the key. Did it yesterday when I turned the ignition on with the Air Temp Sensor disconnected. Before it showed that code, it showed a non- existent code very briefly.
