I have taken it upon myself to put together a registry of 1995 Model Year Jaguar XJS V12 coupes and convertibles. These cars will be the last V12 sports car that Jaguar will ever build. I am the proud owner of a 1995 Topaz V12 coupe so I have commissioned Jaguar Heritage to research how many V12 1995 Coupes were built, what colors and their destination markets. There has been some mis information put out there of exactly how many 1995 V12 XJS have been built. Various sources figures are often quoted 79 examples of 1995 V12 convertible were built, and 59 coupes. This information is wrong ! To date I have over 161 convertible cars that were mostly delivered to the USA. I believe the accurate number is closer to 180 convertibles for worldwide. What I can confirm for sure that there were 64 1995 V12 coupes made in total for the worldwide markets.
My goal for doing this is to create interest in these very rare cars, and to provide accurate information on how many were built. I think it will be nice to be able to say that your car is one of four Topaz V12 coupes delivered to the USA market. I am sure a few cars have been damaged and parted out over the years so if you know of a car that has been destroyed let me know.
So I would love to have information on any 1995 Jaguar XJS V12 coupe or convertible. If you have owned, currently own or know someone with a car please drop me a line with a couple of pictures of the car, VIN and any other stuff you would also like to share such as current condition, mileage, how long you have owned it. One thing I do ask is a picture of the data tag that on North American cars is located on the left drivers door latch, this is a 4” square sticker that has the VIN and the colour code of the paint and interior. On European Japanese delivered cars this tag is located under the bonnet. Its quite important to have this sticker as it eliminates mistakes in the database and I do know of several cars where the interior has been changed from coffee to cream and visa versa. Also if you happen to see a car advertised online please save it as a pdf file and email it to me, as sometimes the the car sells the ad gets deleted and is lost forever. In accordance with various laws I will not share any ownership information with anyone unless approved by the owner. Due to time constraints I am only focusing on 1995 V12 coupes and convertibles as they are truly the last of a line. Thanks for your time.
By 1995, I assume you mean US Model Year 1995, not the standard Jaguar world market MY convention (which used a different dating MY convention - 1994.75 MY & 1995.25 MY) and not "manufactured in 1995 which is often how Jaguar will provide the statistics? In the U.K we tend to run stats by manufacture year, so just be careful what you are asking Jaguar. This is why the figures that you've seen of 59 Coupes & 79 (78, I believed) Convertibles can be confusing. I believe those are manufactured in 1995, not US 1995 MY. There are also (apparently) 11 2-seater Convertibles manufactured in 1995.
Also, the cars run to 1996 MY and even 1996 production. Perhaps not for US markets, but they do exist. There were 3 cars manufactured in 1996, a Coupe in the Jaguar collection, and I'm looking after one of the 2 Convertibles.

Hey Paul, I am documenting the 1994.75 as well, i am aware that the European model year system is a different set up, it seems most of the convertibles did come to the USA market and that is easily defined by the VIN number, there were more coupes in the ROW markets from what i can gather and there is the confusion in the Uk of the car being declared a 1996 which was the date it was first registered when in reality it could have been built in 1994. The 1996 V12 did not come to the USA, I have the Ice Blue car that was the last car built in the database, but as you mentioned there were only a handful of 1996 V12s, i go into the details that i know on my registry page, if you see any incorrect info please let me know as i want the info to be correct. If you want to share the info on that convertible you know about thats would be great.

thanks for putting together that registry. Lots of interesting information and great photos. I just submitted you the data of my car.
Just one thing: Your photo of the only LHD Coupé in "Westminister grey" shows my car (your photo is from the website where I bought it) and my car has the colour code LFA (Titanium Pearl) I have never seen any Jag in that very special grey/blue colour, so it might be the only XJ-S V12 in Titanium Pearl. But it´s not Westminster grey.
I have owned a 1989 XJS Convertible for around 12 years now and I have always been on the lookout for a late model 1995 or 1996 V-12 Convertible with low miles in the US. There is currently a 1994 for sale with Vin SAJNX2341RC192733 that I am interested in. However, being a 1994 it is not as rare as 95 or 96 if that year even exists. Since you are compiling a registry, I thought you might have a more up to date information than I do. Reading these threads over the last dozen years, I know that the last couple of years of XJS were I-6s and that's mostly what you see when they come up for sale... either that or gargbage or expensive. This 1994 seems to be in good shape, low miles and still a V-12. What I am looking for is rarity and also the most up to date or best version of not just the 6.0, but the engine management, etc. I love my '89, but I'd like a little more reliablity and those later years look to have many problems sorted out. Any advice you could give would be appreciated. Thanks!
