Default 1996 XJS Celebration Imobiliser Fob

Hi - i'm looking to source an addtional imobliser fob (the one that you plug into the dash located port) we have 1 but feel better have a back up. Have the required code number. Any idaes?

Dominic,

I presume this is the standard Jaguar option immobiliser that you have fitted? Is this the slot located next to the ignition key.

Yes it is - I belive it was a dealer fitted option - produced by the alarm company Thatcham. I'm thinking I may just get it removed entirly

I'm not sure who Jaguar sourced the immobilisers from on the late cars, Thatcham is just the non-profit organisation that tests and approves systems for accreditation. If you just unscrew the lower steering column cowl, you may see a manufacturers marking on the module socket, and then you might be able to source a key for it.
