1996 XJS radio removal
#2
Super easy.
1. Pull both dials off of the Air Conditioning faceplate.
2. With the dials off, there is a slim hex nut that be unscrewed. Needlenose pliers should get it loose, you can use your fingers for the rest.
3. Pull the Air Conditioning faceplate off, and you'll find a blue plug on the underside of the radio. You'll need a thin screwdriver to press the button on the underside of that plug to get it loose. Basically press that button, or tab, up and pull on the AC faceplate, and off it comes. The first time may be stiff. It'll get easier over time.
4. You should now see 4 screws holding the radio in place. Unscrew them. Proper tool would be a PZ2 head, or a pozidrive 2 head.
That's it!
