Smile 2-Hour Project: Cowl Vent Screen Respray

A beautiful Friday here with spring in the air motivated me to tackle my next project - removing the mild surface rust from the cowl vent screen and then giving it a respray. I decided to go with a silver, just to be different and I can always go back to black if I change my mind later. I brushed everything down with phosphoric acid to remove the rust and then dried and painted. I only broke one part - the left side wiper cap was already cracked and broke off on removal. But super glue saved the day and it even survived putting it back in without breaking. Splendid! Project Success. Let me know what you think.

I like it too. My grille is off at the moment as well. I'll be getting a can of silver this weekend now.
