museum pic of 1st propeller plane to go 400 mph, 1939, made in Italy.

engine behind the driver, prop shaft runs up thru(yup you guessed it)under the pilots seat between his legs!?

i'm kinda bored so lookin thru some old pix!

pix of the NEW F1 track COTA, Circuit of the Americas. being built, 2007.

in process of building , the dirt pile on right side is the start of the hill that all the drivers dread, lot of slipping and off track there now.

shows what $300+ million can do, it is considered one of the best F1 tracks in the world.

nice pic of Lilac tree in spring near house.

also here is a rare one , 1997/98 i think ,Rolex/Daytona 24hr race, TWR Tom himself had his personal XJS brought over for general daily driver!

Not sure if Bell's idea was that fast. but, it was an armored and armed war plane.
Circa 1939. The Areocobra. Big V12 Allison behind the pilot. Shaft running forward to the prop. And, a big plus, a 37 MM cannon firing as long as the trigger was down...


Most went to our then Russian allies. Their pilots loved them. Probably 350 MPH capable in war gear...

thanks carl, i remember reading about the Aerocobra,kool plane!

this little plane was much lighter, and supposedly could do nice airobatic manuvers, better on fuel ,etc.

my next door nieghbor, christmas present!!

nice Porsche special built in Germany,(read expensive), for his joy of racing at Cota track.

not a street car, but he bought a new trailer while he was at it!
