5.3 vs 6.0 starters

5.3 vs 6.0 starters
Are they the same? The starter in my 6.0 seized today, and I have a spare 5.3 starter, just wondered if it would fit. I have no desire to change a V12 starter twice!

What year? When l changed over to 6.0 litre engine in my 1989 5.3 xjrs l used my original 5.3 litre starter so short answer is it will fit.

The large Lucas starters are really difficult to fit compared to the later reduction gear units, may be easier in a LHD car but a real PITA in a RHD.
