Default '78 XJS Vacuum Hose Left Manifold

Hi All,

First of likely many questions...

Can anyone tell me where this (see attachment) should be connected? It had the remnants of a perished vac hose on it, So I'm assuming it went somewhere rather than being blanked off. I've googled for vacuum routing diagrams, but can't find one that shows this, I've had a search on here too, with no joy.

Thanks

Memory,

I reckon it was for the charcoal fuel breather canister FIASCO. a long time ago.

There would little to NO vac at that spigot at idle, but would increase as the throttle opens, thus drawing fumes from that canister. That was the theory, it rarely worked, hence that stuff is all gone, and spigots capped.

Thanks for the quick reply. No harm in capping it off then, excellent.
