Hi BB,
Fantastic looking car, well worth the effort. Glad to see you kept the colour combination simple as it makes the car look even better and IMO, more modern.

Sorry to hear about the "almost fire" but glad it was simple to sort out.

Thanks Jim

you have obviously been reading of my exploits in other places to , lol

the colour isnt original , as its Fords new ' Frozen white ' as used on the new RS , but the colour white is original to the car , as was the Mulberry ( burgundy ) leather interior , and i think the ' whiter ' rather than ' creamy white ' works much better

Very nicely done. I really like the ground effects. It makes her look even longer.

Very nice! Did you "de-chrome" the windscreen area? It looks very clean.

Default Original Spoiler?

Hey 'Buster, Very nice, clean job. -Is the Rear Spoiler a Jag factory jobbie? -I'm debating myself whether to find something similar, as I find with the convertible folded roof 'hump' behind the seat, on the pre-facelift(older) XJS, I cannot see the rear trunk lip or judge how close I park to something. It would also take away the drop tail look.

thanks lads

yes, the whole body kit is genuine Jaguar , its the Jaguarsport/TWR kit that was fitted from 1998 onwards in the UK ,

the rear spoilers do actually work at speed , and hunker the car down a little more , to the point that buffers have to be fitted under the bottom of the boot lid to stop it pushing dont into the paintwork

i took the pics on my iPhone, and it hasnt picked up the chrome in the pic that well , it is all new chrome , and it was a ' bright day , so the car has full chrome

A superb job.

Good choice on the 'Frozen White'. Contemporary Jaguar white never had that depth and quality.

@BB

Amazing. If you were to describe the car in words it may not sound like it would work, but boy it does.

wow,

thanks lads,

some pics of the journey

after taking off the wing....ouch

brand new metal sections replace all the rust..

rebuilt with all new rads and pipework ,

after the front end rebuild with a mix of new and salvaged panels on top , this picture was taken 18 months into the project,
as i sold my house and had to move the project , this was 5 mins before loading her onto a trailer to go to the new property ,
with a larger garage with workshop.
