Your tube identification in the first photo looks correct to me. Also it looks in good condition. Do a test to see if the tube holds vacuum, if it does, no need to replace it.

What have you posted the second photo for? That looks like the brake servo non-return valve from a separate spigot on the manifold, or possibly the aicon vac supply non return valve. Do you know where it came from? It is nothing to do with the tranny tube AFAIK.

I "believe" the tube with the white line is the vac tube coming through the large rubber hose protector, goes through a "filter" and then into the "Y" connector.

Rather than replace the tube if it is intact, it would seem that I could "blow it out" and remove any trans fluid and then reconnect ??? Should I do the same to the filter
Assuming the "large rubber hose protector"you mention is the ribbed setup exiting the abs pump bracket,
Do you actually have trans fluid in those hoses you show? The white stripe hose runs through the sheave to air con vacuum tank and is not connected to trans in any way other than by sharing the manifold vacuum. I can't see how trans fluid would get sucked into it.
I am pretty sure the second pic is non return valve for that a/c vacuum tank, ABS car so won't be brake booster.

I dug out a pic of my engine/gearbox from when it was pulled out. Shows hose from modulator (at the very bottom of pic) coming up through a grommet bracket and then up to manifold. Can't see precisely but it may go to small plastic T or directly to manifold spigot.

I don't want to steal this thread, but just what is that vacuum line coming from the tranny for?
The line on my '86 V12 with GM tranny is also broken. I would like to know what the vacuum is supposed to actuate?

The vac line from the modulator to the A bank intake manifold is a way of telling the gearbox how wide open the throttle is. Lower vac = wider throttle, in which case the job of the modulator is to delay upchanges as it presumes you are accelerating hard and do not want to change up too early.

Connects to the vac modulator on the RH side of the trans casing.
Controls gear change.
Other end of said hose attaches to a spare spigot on the rear end plate of the RH inlet manifold. Some markets have a T in that line for ????.

It MUST be connected and working, or the mighty TH400 will not do what it does.
