Hi group, just joined, since I just purchased a beautiful, low miles 1993 XJS Convertible. Problem is, it's been hit on the drivers left corner. I'm a frame/body man with 30 years experience(Just retired, so the car is a gift to myself Here's the question I hope some member can help me with: Will structural parts(Apron, rad support, headlight enclosure, etc.) from a 1989 coupe fit this car? The reason I ask, is that I have available to me, parts from that car, for a fraction of the cost of parts from a 1991-1993 car that I KNOW are correct, as they have the same part #'s from Jaguar.("89 coupe parts are a different part #, but as we all know, sometimes that means very little.) Would be nice if the '89 coupe parts would work, but I've been told by some, no. the 2 cars are about 150 miles apart, so a direct comparison is not possible. Any info would be appreciated. I plan to make this car as perfect as it was before the collision. Thanks.
