Default '95 XJS 2+2 4.0 power antenna

I am finally getting around to trying to fix my inoperable power antenna. I have taken it out and apart, cleaned it, and the motor still won't run. Fuse is good and input wires are hot when engine and radio on. So, I bought another used power antenna unit that was supposed to be bench tested and working well, installed it, and it doesn't work either. I either have 2 defective units, or there is something wrong with the way the voltage is being supplied. There are 5 wires going into the plug (1 of course being ground), but I have not been able to find and schematic for which ones do what (wire colors are brown, green/yellow, white, and pinkish tan/white). Does anyone know, or know where I can find the information? Also, is there a relay for the power antenna in this XJS model that may be malfunctioning? I can't find one in the relay schematic in the manual.
Thanks in advance for any help!

Hi Jack,

My own XJS is a couple of years older than yours but possibly the attached may help. Unfortunately can't send whole thing so have extracted Figure 17.1.

Good luck,

Thanks for the reply and trying to help, Lee. This schematic looks different based on the number of wires and colors though.

Hi Jack

This may or may not be of help but the Coloured wires on Stereos are pretty universal these days, so if you look half way down on this Page of my 'Cherry Blossom' restoration thread.

There is a Schematic on the Cage supplied with the Stereo.

I paid about £17 for the Srereo on Amazon, its got all 'The Bells and Whistles' and Sounds Amazing!

But if you need a New Ariel.

My antenna is stuck up, I could care less if it worked but is there a way manually or with a battery & wire to force it to retract just once?
